Win 50% Off Your Place at the IFC 2011
01 June 2011

Today sees the launch of an exciting competition giving fundraisers the chance to win an incredible 50% off their place at the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) 2011. To be in with a chance of winning one of the two fantastic prizes on offer, each worth over £1,000, simply log on to www.resource-alliance.org/ifc/competition and answer the questions which challenge fundraisers to share their opinions on the subjects of the IFC Great Debates.
The innovative competition is being run by the Resource Alliance to give fundraisers around the world the opportunity to attend the renowned IFC at a reduced rate. Taking place from 18-21 October and organised by the Resource Alliance, the IFC 2011 sees renowned speakers from around the world, including Dan Pallotta, Per Stenbeck and Bernard Ross, coming to The Netherlands to share their expertise and inspire delegates with stories of fundraising success.
Based on the topics of the Great Debates taking place at the IFC, the competition questions ask fundraisers about whether we should be raising money for disasters in rich economies and about their experiences of working in organisations with different structures, looking at the roles of HQ and national/chapter offices in large NGOs. Answers will help shape the IFC programme, and will provide a valuable insight into the views of the fundraising community.
Entries will be judged by Geoff Peters, Chair of the IFC Advisory Panel, and Julie Verhaar of UNICEF. One prize will be awarded to the best entry for each question, giving fundraisers two chances to win a place. Each winner will receive a 50% discount on a place at the IFC including 4* onsite accommodation, worth a staggering £1,085.
Speaking about the competition, Neelam Makhijani, Chief Executive of the Resource Alliance, said: “The IFC is a real institution within the fundraising community, and provides an exceptional learning and networking opportunity. This competition is to encourage engagement with the IFC early on, especially with the Great Debates! We’ve deliberately left the questions open to allow people to argue their case and share their experiences, and look forward to seeing what the fundraising community has to say about these incredibly important issues. The competition is open until midnight on 30 June, so make sure you get your entry in as soon as possible to be in with a chance of winning!”
