UK News: UK policy proposals to increase giving and volunteering
04 January 2011
The UK Government is on a mission to increase philanthropy and volunteering among the British public.
More people giving to charitable causes means less State spending and this of course sits very well with the Conservatives.
They have just published their ideas on how giving can be increased.
They have some interesting ideas like ‘round up the pound’ on credit card donations, giving at ATMs, online shopping donations etc.
