The history of the Global Awards
- The
first awards programme was launched in 2004, in the Asia Pacific region
and has since expanded to include the Global Awards (first awarded at
the IFC in 2010) and the India NGO Awards, with the Uganda and Thailand
NGO Awards being launched towards the end
of 2011. - The NGO Awards celebrate and reward the best non-governmental and non-profit organisations by showcasing examples of best practice and successful resource mobilisation.
- The Global Awards is the first international awards programme endorsed and supported by national fundraising associations from around the globe, who nominate the winners of national awards to compete against one another to be recognised with a Global Award. Global Awards winners are selected for their inspirational contribution to fundraising, and we are proud to welcome the best of the best of the world's fundraisers to the Awards ceremony which takes place at the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) 2011.
