DIT Target Fundraisers for Applied Media Studies Masters Course
18 July 2011
DIT have asked Fundraising Ireland to let you know about their MA programme in Applied Media Studies.
The programme aims to develop an understanding of the relationship between media and society.
This could be of interest to fundraisers who would like more insight on how to communicate messages more clearly in an increasingly difficult environment.
The MA in Applied Media Studies is a two-year, part-time masters programme, which uses academic theories and concepts to help learners develop creative solutions to communications problems. The programme combines modules in media theory with community based learning, community based research and media advocacy.
The programme is ideal for:
- Media professionals who wish to develop their understanding of media, culture and society
- Professionals in public, NGO and voluntary sector organisations who wish to develop media advocacy skills
- Professionals involved in community organisations and community-based learning
- Educators interested in developing their knowledge of media studies and media literacy pedagogy
Entry Requirements:
Applicants should hold a minimum qualification of a 2.2 in an honours degree. Exceptions to this condition will be permitted if an appropriate level of prior learning can be demonstrated.
