Call for papers: National Fundraising Conference, Dublin, 2012

13 October 2011

Fundraising Ireland’s National Fundraising Conference has gone from strength to strength since our inaugural event in 2009. Each year we have brought together a programme of exciting and innovative speakers from Ireland and abroad to discuss fundraising practice at the cutting edge. Last year’s conference -- Smart Fundraising -- tackled the challenges of fundraising in the current recessionary economy: the sold out event was incredibly well received and we intend the 2012 conference to be even better.

The success of the National Fundraising Conference is based upon the inspirational and informative contributions of our speakers and the open atmosphere of collaboration where fundraisers can come together and share their knowledge, skills and expertise.

We are now soliciting presentation and session proposal submissions for the 2012 National Fundraising Conference, to be held March 20 - 21 at the Convention Centre, Dublin.

Do you have an innovative strategy, an insightful perspective or an inspiring case study that could benefit your fellow fundraisers and inform current fundraising practice?

We welcome submissions on a broad range of fundraising topics, issues and case studies and want to hear from diverse voices within the fundraising community. The Events Committee encourage contributions which:

  • Address current issues faced by fundraisers and innovative solutions to the challenges of fundraising in a difficult economic environment.
  • Engage both conceptual “big thinking” and practical “how to” dimensions of fundraising.
  • Draw from case studies and presenters’ own experiences to illustrate important lessons for contemporary fundraisers.
  • Stimulate audience discussion, participation and foster attendee interaction.

Please note: We have a duty to ensure all sessions are impartial and not showcases for agency work or supplier's products.

The Deadline:

The deadline to submit your proposal is October 31, 2011. Once an online submission is made, it is passed to the Events Committee for consideration. You will be notified of the Committee’s decision no later than the end of November 2011.

Fundraising Ireland is committed to making the 2012 National Fundraising Conference our best yet. We look forward to receiving your submission.
