Stephen Pidgeon is a founding partner and Chairman of Target Direct, a UK marketing agency that counts some of the country's largest charities as its clients, including The Salvation Army, The Royal British Legion, Action for Blind People and British Red Cross Nearly 25 years in the sector, Stephen has worked in a number of agencies, including setting up the Fundraising Unit at Brann. Not one to hold back on his praise and criticism of the charity sector, he speaks widely throughout Europe and the Americas. Stephen is a regular columnist in trade publications and a Fellow of the UK's Institute of Fundraising.
John Fleming is the Head of Sightsavers Ireland - a charity that helps those in the developing world who are blind to regain their sight. It also helps those who will never see again play a full part in their community through education and training. Originally from Wexford and married with three daughters, John started work in the community and voluntary sector with County Wexford Partnership and has since worked as a Corporate Fundraiser with Concern, as a fundraising consultant and as Director of Fundraising and Communications with Co-operation Ireland. Since 2002 John has been growing Sightsavers Ireland. Based in Dún Laoghaire it has a staff of six and income of €6 million in 2007.
