Board of Directors
Fundraising Ireland has developed a governance structure that ensures its board of directors will be elected from amongst the organizations membership (fee-paying membership programme to be rolled out during 2010). The governance structure and election process can be read here. Following its first board elections in June 2009, the current members of the board are:

- Harvey Duthie - Executive Director, CCS Fundraising
- Aisling Hurley - Director of Development, Royal College of Surgeons in Irelnad
- Molly Morrisson - Director of Fundraising, ISPCC
- Gaby Murphy - Managing Director, Kanchi
- Mary O'Kennedy - O'Kennedy Consulting
- Aidan Stacey - Head of Fundraising, Irish Hearth Foundation
Here's a little information on each member.

Mark Carrigan
As a senior consultant with Brakeley Ltd., www.brakeley.com, Mark is responsible for providing fundraising and management counsel to a variety of organisations both internationally and in Ireland. Concurrently Interim Director of Development at Aberystwyth University since 2008, he is supporting The Arthritis Research Campaign on a €40million annual goal and regularly advises other organisations including WWF, The Climate Group, Concern, FAI and Temple Street Children's Hospital. Previously an Executive Director with CCS Fundraising, Mark is also on the Steering Committee for the European Association for Philanthropy & Giving (EAPG).
Mark says "I'm thrilled to be joining the board of FI. Despite the doom and gloom I see the current environment and gradual shift in values, as a real opportunity for us all to build better relationships with existing and future donors. Most organisations I'm currently working with are doing this by focusing on improved efficiency and generating future income streams."

Jill Clark
Is Head of Fundraising for the Irish Cancer Society, www.cancer.ie, a position she has held since January 2006. She has more than eighteen years experience cultivating large-scale resource mobilization activities at philanthropic and social service organizations in the United States including: The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR); Safe Horizon; New York City Partnership; and Heartshare Human Services of New York.
Jill enjoys her service on the Fundraising Ireland Board. She has particularly welcomed the opportunity to discuss and share ideas and best practices with so many fundraisers across the country through Fundraising Ireland.

Harvey Duthie
Harvey is an Executive Director with CCS Fundraising. CCS is a Consulting and Management firm providing fundraising counsel to an array of International clients. With CCS Harvey has worked on and led Inter-Governmental, Diocesan and Educational fundraising campaigns with combined goals in excess of €140 million, in Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. He also spent a number of years as a Senior Consultant at 2into3, where after successfully developing their Fundraising Recruitment service had specific responsibility for leading fundraising reviews and supporting clients in developing and implementing fundraising strategies. Harvey is Treasurer of the Fundraising Ireland Group and is an Associate member of the Institute of Fundraising UK. 'Being part of Fundraising Ireland's evolution has been a terrific experience and I encourage you all to continue to promote Fundraising Ireland to your colleagues'.

Aisling Hurley
Aisling is the Director of Development at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, www.rcsi.ie. Aisling has over 20 years fundraising experience. She has been RCSI's Director of Development since 2005. Before joining the College she established and ran the University of Limerick Foundation and subsequently worked as a Senior Consultant with CCS Ireland providing fundraising counsel to a range clients including schools, Churches and Universities. She has also worked as an independent Fundraising Consultant.

Molly Morrison
Molly has led the ISPCC's fundraising team since 2007, www.ispcc.ie. She joined them having spent four years with Concern, most recently as Fundraising Development Manager and before that as Fundraising Manager for UNICEF Ireland where she spent three years. Molly also worked as a Major Gifts Fundraising Executive for ADL in the United States before coming to Ireland.

Gaby Murphy
Gaby is the Managing Director of Kanchi, www.kanchi.org, a not for profit organisation that works to change thinking on disability. Gaby was formerly the Director of Fundraising at Barretstown and has fifteen years experience in fundraising roles in Ireland the UK. "I joined the founding board of Fundraising Ireland because I felt this was a great opportunity to bring fundraisers around Ireland together and to give a voice to the profession. It's great to see so many new board members joining this month and I'm really looking forward to moving Fundraising Ireland to its next stage of growth" .

Mary O' Kennedy
Mary set up O'Kennedy Consulting www.okennedyconsulting.ie in 2002 to provide guidance on strategic management and fundraising issues to the not-for-profit sector. Since then the team at OKC have advised over 40 national and international organisations ranging from small local charities, to hospitals, cultural institutes and large international NGOs Prior to setting up OKC Mary worked as a fundraiser for Trocaire and subsequently DCU. She is actively involved in the continued development of fundraising both in Ireland and overseas and was recently appointed as Chair of EU Consult, the European Association of Consultants to the Not-For-Profit Sector. www.euconsult.org
Mary is a founding member of Fundraising Ireland, having brought a small group of senior fundraisers together in late 2006 to see whether there was an appetite to set up a formal fundraising association - which there obviously was!! She is the current chair of the FI Board and is also a regular speaker at various events focused on the development of the charity sector in Ireland and how to maximise fundraising potential, even in these gloomy times!

Aidan Stacey
Head of Fundraising for the Irish Heart Foundation, www.irishheart.ie - Husband, Father of three, Dog Owner (Stripe), and major TED.Com fan! Aidan is responsible for a team of 12 and a budget of €6 million. Prior to this role he was Head of Fundraising & Communications with Dublin Simon Community. There he led a team of 7 with responsibility for income of €5 million. 'I'm excited at the opportunity to help continue to build the profession of fundraising in Ireland. I'm a Marketer by experience and education and part of my job within FI will be to help educate not for profits to tell their unique "stories". I'm passionate about collaboration and efficiency within the industry and will work to develop best practice in fundraising'.
