The National Conference for Fundraisers in Ireland 2009.

Thursday 26th March 2009

Time & Venue: 9am-5pm Croke Park Stadium

Fundraising Ireland national conference 26 March, Croke park.

Fundraising Ireland is delighted to present the National Fundraising Conference which will take place on the 26th of March 2009 in Croke Park. The theme for the day is 'Survival and Growth in a Challenging Climate'. Fundraising Ireland was established in 2007 to provide networking and development opportunities for those working in a fundraising capacity in Ireland. We now have over 800 members and run a number of training and development sessions throughout the year. Having acted as a partner for the UK Fundraising Institute's Irish conference for the last 2 years, Fundraising Ireland is now in a position to run the Irish Conference independently and we are delighted to offer delegates a fantastic line-up of sessions.

The current economic climate is having an impact on the charity sector and the effectiveness of particular fundraising techniques. The conference aims to address these challenges and provide an insight into various fundraising avenues and which strategies work best. Topics that will be covered include donor care and retention, community fundraising, philanthropic and corporate partnerships, legacies, fundraising trends and what motivates donors, amongst others.

We have lined up some fantastic speakers from both Ireland and overseas including a fast paced opening plenary by Bernard Ross from the Management Centre in Scotland and an inspiring closing session from Mary Lawlor, CEO of Frontline and winner of the WMB Social Entrepreneur 2008 award.
